Such busy days! We marvel at the many friends that came to Taiwan - it seemed that the best time to come was now! Everyone was in Taiwan!
This morning we were back to Aquatic Addiction Development but this time with Mark and Rae as Ayi takes us around the open air market. The salesperson was kind enough to hold up the huge crab for us to take a picture!
We then headed out to meet Vivian, Sandy, their mom, Steven, Kevin and Mitchell for lunch. Unbeknownst to them, Toy trailed behind us all the way to the restaurant until we "contemplated" on who would take the group picture. Toy entered and everyone was in utter shock! It was so funny because everyone was completely speechless and stared at him versus the time Rae and I saw him and broke down crying. Unfortunately, we forgot to record this glorious moment =(
Happiness after a meal together!
Sandy, Vivian and their lovely mother then took us to a really great shaved ice place! SO DELICIOUS!
This one was lychee with sour plum sauce and I'm not sure what kind of jelly that was on top.
Eric and I ordered Matcha shaved ice with pudding and Red Bean.
This was the MRT ride with Mitchell, Kevin and Steven on our way from the lunch.
Goodbyes =*(
Crazy packed in the MRT station but I love the public transportation in Taiwan. It's very convenient!
Fun fact: When using public escalators, stand on the right side. The left side is used for people in a hurry who can walk down.
That night, Eric and I went to Hsien Tien Church to hear Ps. Mike Connell from New Zealand speak. He was the pastor who first introduced the Holy Spirit to me in a conference in Canada when I was in high school. I would never forgot the experience.
Afterwards, we met up with Toy at Ximending Night Market. He had taken a trip on his own to a dock / beach.
A busy Saturday night!
We stopped for a bite of fried potato drenched in cheese and various toppings.
My first night to play Catan.
Of course, the only reason Toy came to Taiwan was to play Catan with us!
Good Night!
